Job summary

A respected membership organization is seeking an experienced Head of Policy to lead the development and execution of their policy strategy. This pivotal role requires strong UK and EU policy experience, as well as the ability to influence key stakeholders and policymakers. You will be responsible for translating member priorities into effective policy positions and managing advocacy campaigns. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in public affairs within a membership organization and possess strong stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working in UK and EU policy or public affairs.
• Experience within a membership organization, trade association, or not-for-profit environment.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a UK and EU-focused policy strategy aligned with goals.
• Build relationships with UK government, EU institutions, and regulators.
• Lead responses to consultations and produce policy briefings and reports.
• Manage advocacy campaigns to influence policy outcomes.
• Engage with members to identify policy priorities.
• Manage specialist policy committees and advisory forums.
• Lead and develop a high-performing policy team.
• Contribute to strategic direction of the organization.
