Job summary

John Sisk & Son Ltd is recruiting a Senior Planner for a Life Sciences scheme in Bicester on a 6-month contract. The Senior Planner will lead programme development, coordination of design, procurement, and construction, and deliver regular progress reports.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead planning on live construction projects.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration across project teams.
• Extensive knowledge of UK/EU contract management frameworks.
• Experience managing planning teams and reporting to management.
• Clear communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Solid IT skills and familiarity with common project controls software.

Responsibilities

• Lead baseline contract programme development covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
• Prepare tender event programmes for subcontractors with design release and lead-in activities.
• Maintain electronic planning files and CDE documentation for easy retrieval.
• Provide programme information to support management decisions and reporting.
• Develop 4D/2D phasing visuals to illustrate build sequence and logistics.
• Create planning outputs for pre-construction and on-site execution.
• Engage with supply chain to align programme across design and construction periods.
• Review risks and opportunities and propose mitigation within the programme.
• Lead weekly/monthly progress reporting and participate in contract reviews.
