Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Pipeline Civil Engineer to deliver critical water infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally.

You will oversee material selection, structural design of buried pipelines, thrust restraint, and trenchless technologies, applying advanced analysis tools to evaluate rehabilitation options. You will drive proposals, produce high-level technical reports, and contribute to research initiatives with industry bodies such as UKWIR and CIRIA,

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering with Chartered or Incorporated status (or working toward registration).
• Proven experience across pipeline disciplines: burial pipe design, materials, trunk main design, thrust restraint, etc.
• Familiar with pipeline rehabilitation, trenchless design, failure assessments, or piping analysis software.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering across the full lifecycle of major pipeline projects.
• Oversee and deliver technical outputs: material selection, structural design, thrust restraint, trenchless technologies.
• Lead condition and failure assessments to extend asset life and support rehabilitation planning.
• Contribute to proposals and high-level technical reports; engage with industry bodies.
