Job summary

Practice Plus Group is recruiting a Senior Pharmacy Technician for HMP Stocken, a category C prison in Rutland. The role covers supervision of technicians, medicines management across wings, and health promotion activities for inmates. Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or above (or equivalent) required.
• Accuracy Checking Technician qualification required.
• Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is essential.
• Up-to-date CPD participation is expected.
• Post-qualification pharmacy experience in a similar setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support the development of junior staff.
• Oversee administration and medicines management across primary care and substance misuse wings.
• Provide health promotion advice on smoking cessation, hypertension, and healthy living.

Education

NVQ Level 3 or above

Accuracy Checking Technician qualification

Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council

Continual Professional Development (CPD)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Stocken, a category C prison located in the parish of Stretton in the county of Rutland.

Hours

We offer a 7 day a week service and you will work 37.5 hours per week on a rota.

Monday - Sunday, 9.5 hour shifts, 07:0 30 - 17:30

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £49,175 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support of the development of junior staff
• Oversea the administration and medicines management, working across our primary care and substance misuse wings
• Provide health promotion advice to our men in areas such as giving up smoking, hypertension, healthy living and other minor ailments
