Senior Pension Consultant - Fully Remote Role

We are seeking an experienced Pensions Consultant to join our home-based DB consulting team. If you enjoy managing and advising a portfolio of corporate and trustee clients, this could be the role for you!

Job Description:

What will you deliver?

1. Develop strong relationships with client portfolios and understand their needs and objectives.
2. Contribute to the development of the team’s consulting capabilities, collateral, and personnel.
3. Effectively communicate complex and technical issues to clients and colleagues.
4. Identify solutions and risks for clients based on an expert understanding of their situations and relevant technical, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
5. Maintain a client-focused approach and concern for quality, ensuring high client satisfaction and retention.
6. Assist the Head of DB Consulting & Scheme Management in achieving practice objectives.

What are we looking for?

• DB Pensions experience in a client-facing role, including Scheme Events, GMP Equalisation, Buy In/Outs, Scheme Wind Up.
• Experience with scheme secretarial work, DB pensions projects, consulting, or actuarial projects.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with client portfolios.
• Ensure regular contact with all clients within the portfolio.
• Contribute significantly to the development of the team’s consulting capabilities, collateral, and personnel.
• Communicate complex and technical issues effectively to clients and colleagues.
• Maintain and expand knowledge of all services offered by the business and the practice.
• Produce advice suitable for checking/peer review on strategic or major issues that could pose business risks.

Experience, qualifications, and key skills (Essential):

• Industry-specific experience, particularly in pensions.
• Knowledge of benefits legislation.
• High proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in relevant IT packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
