Job summary

Distinct Consultancy Group in Harrow is recruiting a Payroll Supervisor to oversee the end-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls. You will supervise the payroll team, ensure accuracy, and deliver a high level of service to clients and employees.

The role requires strong technical payroll knowledge, experience with RTI/FPS, HMRC, pensions and year-end procedures, and a hands-on leadership approach. A pension scheme and 33 days holidays are included.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising a payroll team.
• Extensive knowledge of weekly and monthly payrolls end-to-end.
• Strong understanding of payroll legislation and RTI/FPS.
• Experience with Auto-enrolment pensions and year-end procedures.
• Experience with COINS or similar payroll software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Process weekly and monthly payrolls end-to-end.
• Complete RTI/FPS submissions and respond to HMRC queries.
• Manage pension contributions and auto-enrolment.
• Calculate pro-rata and holiday pay; handle term-time employees.
• Support year-end procedures and P60s.
• Review payroll information and perform checks before submission.
• Provide guidance and training to payroll staff.
