CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a Payroll Senior/Supervisor for an established accountancy practice in Eastleigh, Hampshire. The role focuses on end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse SME client base using Moneysoft Payroll Manager, with hybrid working after probation.

You will lead a small payroll team, handle RTI submissions, CIS returns, and statutory payments, and stay current with UK payroll legislation to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications

• Extensive payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy or payroll bureau environment.
• Strong PAYE/NIC, statutory payments, and Auto Enrolment knowledge.
• Excellent communication and client liaison skills.
• Ability to lead a small team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for weekly, fortnightly, and monthly cycles for a diverse SME client portfolio (Moneysoft).
• Liaise with clients to handle payroll queries and provide expert guidance on payroll processes.
• Administer RTI submissions, CIS returns, and statutory payments (SMP, SSP, redundancy, NIC).
• Stay up-to-date with UK payroll legislation to ensure compliance and best practice.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to continuous improvement within the payroll function.

Suitable Candidate for the Payroll Senior/ Supervisor vacancy

• Demonstrates extensive payroll experience, ideally within an accountancy or payroll bureau environment.
• Possesses strong knowledge of PAYE/NIC, statutory payments, and pension schemes, including Auto Enrolment.
• Has good communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and HMRC.
