Job summary

Drummond Laurie is seeking an experienced Payroll Senior to join our established payroll team. You will contribute to processing and managing payroll for a wide range of SME clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.

Working in a collaborative environment, you will own allocated duties, assist with year-end processes, and liaise with clients, HMRC and pension providers while embracing payroll technology and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls.
• Strong attention to detail and compliance with HMRC requirements.
• Proactive and collaborative with the team.
• Proficiency with payroll software such as IRIS Payroll Professional or BrightPay is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and within deadlines.
• Liaising confidently with clients, HMRC and pension providers to resolve payroll queries.
• Taking ownership of allocated responsibilities while supporting the wider team.
• Ensuring payrolls stay compliant with current legislation and HMRC requirements.
• Reviewing payroll information to maintain high standards of accuracy.
