Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join the Passenger Transit Group within the Planning & Mobility team across the UK. The role can be based in any UK office with hybrid working, including Manchester.

You will lead transit projects from inception to delivery, working with multi-disciplinary teams and a large client portfolio, and mentor junior members while driving project and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in passenger transit and mobility planning and data analysis.
• Understanding regulatory and legislative environment for transit services.
• Excellent report writing and communication to clients and colleagues.
• Experience leading workstreams or projects for transit clients.
• Project management skills across transport and multi-disciplinary projects.
• Creative, innovative mindset and lateral thinking.
• Motivation to develop your career and make an impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to transit projects from inception to completion.
• Deliver high-quality outputs in line with client requirements.
• Work with multi-disciplinary teams across service lines.
• Build relationships and secure/deliver work with local clients.
• Mentor junior team members or act as People Manager.
• Oversee financial performance of projects and the team.
• Contribute to four pillars: People; Clients & Growth; Operations; Expertise.
