Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join our Passenger Transit Group across the UK. You will lead transit scheme development from inception to delivery, working across passenger modes and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role offers hybrid working with flexibility to base in any UK office (Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Liverpool, London or Manchester) and opportunities to influence major projects for local authorities and developers.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in passenger transit and mobility planning and design, and transport data analysis.
• Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
• Experience of leading workstreams or projects in passenger transit.
• Understanding of project management across transport and multi-disciplinary projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to diverse passenger transit projects and proposals, delivering outputs to client requirements.
• Bring passion and knowledge of Passenger Transit to achieve high quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and other WSP service lines on large projects.
• Develop relationships and secure/deliver work for local client portfolios.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their development.
• Oversee financial performance of projects and the team.
• Support WSP's Pillars: People, Clients & Growth, Operations, Expertise.
