Job summary

Astec is seeking a Senior Customer Operations Specialist - Parts to determine customer parts requirements, provide quotes, and place orders in internal systems. You will work with engineering, service, controls, sales, shipping and manufacturing to meet customer needs.

Key activities include preparing quotes, identifying correct parts from drawings, coordinating lead times with procurement and production, and following up with customers and dealers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of work experience in a similar environment.
• A working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings (preferred).
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to Astec direct customers and dealers.
• Locate the correct parts and prepare the parts quotations as per the customer’s request.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure that the customer’s requests are met.
• Accurately process all parts sales orders.
• Follow up on quotes and orders with customers.
• Travel 1–2 times per year to call on direct customers and dealers; plant visits and trade shows.
