Job summary

Astec Omagh is seeking a Senior Customer Operations Specialist - Parts to determine customer requirements, prepare quotes, and process orders. You will work closely with engineering, service, and sales teams while coordinating with procurement and production on lead-times.

The role requires 4+ years in a similar environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings. Travel 1-2 times per year to direct customers and dealers is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of work experience in a similar environment.
• An Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or marketing is strongly desired and/or a combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer customer calls and emails; help determine customer requirements. Extensive research.
• Prepare quotes, offer advice and suggestive selling.
• Identify correct part(s) for customer using mechanical and electrical drawings, manuals, and other resources.
• Coordinate with procurement and production on lead-time and expediting needs.
• Inform Supervisor or Manager of inventory shortage and discrepancy.
• Prepare and enter detailed parts quotes into Astec system.
• Work with customers and other departments to resolve problems (breakdowns, wrong parts, replacements, returns, warranties).
• Follow up on quotes and previous correspondence with customers, dealers and Regional Sales Managers.
• Understand shipping options and coordinate with the shipping team.
