Jacobs is seeking a Senior/Principal ecologist with a specialism in ornithology to join our UK ecology team. You will lead ornithological surveys, provide expert advice and ensure ecology input across projects, interfacing with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ornithology expertise with field survey experience.
• Experience writing clear, concise technical reports.
• Knowledge of national wildlife and environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead ornithological surveys and provide expert client advice.
• Work in multidisciplinary teams to integrate ornithology into projects.
• Support Environmental Impact Assessments and Habitats Regulations Appraisals.
• Deliver desk and site-based tasks across the UK, with potential overnight stays.
• Contribute to bidding, strategy and project growth.
