Job description
Overview

Infosys is seeking a skilled, dedicated, and proactive Senior Oracle Database Administrator with strong interpersonal and technical skills. He/she will also assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration, maintenance, security best practices, create SOPs and other documentation, anticipate problems, and suggest solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert Oracle DBA services including RAC, ASM, RMAN, Oracle standby maintenance and Data Guard configurations.
  • Perform patching, upgrading, and migration activities for Oracle databases.
  • Build and maintain large database infrastructures supporting high volumes of transactions in mission-critical environments.
  • Optimize and perform performance tuning of databases with drill-down analysis.
  • Implement backup and recovery techniques; ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Adhere to Work Instructions and SOPs; develop guidelines and procedures as needed.
  • Anticipate problems, propose solutions, and contribute to documentation and SOP development.
Required Qualifications
  • This position is based out of Melbourne, FL; Rochester, NY; Clifton, NJ; Greenville, TX; Salt Lake City, UT. Ideal candidate should be willing to relocate to work from any of the above locations. Alternatively, candidate can work from any location within the USA. This position may require travel in the US.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
  • At least 7 years of Information Technology experience.
  • At least 6 years of experience on Oracle DBA.
  • Expert in RAC, ASM, RMAN, Oracle standby maintenance and Data Guard configurations.
  • Expert in patching, upgrading, and migration activities.
  • Experience building large database infrastructures supporting high-volume transactions in a mission-critical environment.
  • Expertise in optimizing and performance tuning of databases including drill-down analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in backup and recovery techniques.
  • Ability to work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, tight deadline delivery timeline.
  • Adhere to Work Instructions and SOPs.
  • In order to comply with legal requirements, this role is limited to “U.S. persons” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15. U.S. persons include U.S. citizens, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents, and certain refugees and asylees.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple business, technical teams and higher management.
  • Good in communication and in client interaction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with technical documentation.
  • Planning, coordination, and analytical skills.
  • Hands-on experience in Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a team in diverse/multiple stakeholder environments.
Compensation

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:

  • In CA/ WA / NY / CO / MD / IL / MN / NJ: $94,000 to $131,600
  • In Washington, DC: $85,700 to 124,600
