Busy Bees in Stevenage Great Ashby is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader to oversee several rooms, driving the Bee Curious curriculum and ensuring high standards of care and learning. You will inspire your team to achieve excellence in educational delivery and safeguarding.

The role emphasises leadership, staff development, and strong communication with parents within a welcoming, charity-minded nursery community in the heart of Stevenage.

Formación

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory or leadership responsibility.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for children and staff.

• Ensure educational strategies are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities, adapting curriculum to children’s needs.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee wellbeing and safeguarding of children, including those with additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents and keep them informed of development.
• Ensure health, safety and safeguarding compliance across the centre.

What to Expect as a Senior Nursery Room Leader:

• Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead the planning and delivery of activities, adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting a collaborative and high-performing team.
• Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children, making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, keeping them informed of their child's development.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding protocols across the centre.

Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
