Busy Bees in Stevenage Great Ashby is seeking a Senior Nursery Room Leader to oversee multiple rooms, plan activities, and ensure the Bee Curious curriculum is delivered consistently across the centre.

You will mentor Room Leaders, safeguard children, and build strong relationships with parents. The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and inclusive practice within a vibrant nursery environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure educational strategies are consistent across multiple rooms.
• Lead planning and delivery of activities, adapting curriculum to meet diverse needs.
• Mentor and develop Room Leaders, promoting collaboration and high performance.
• Oversee wellbeing and safeguarding of children, with adjustments for additional needs.

What To Expect As a Senior Nursery Room Leader

Ideal Candidate

• Level 3 qualification or above in early years education.
• Experience in an early years setting, with supervisory or leadership experience ideally as a Senior Nursery Room Leader, Senior Nursery Room Manager or Senior Nursery Practitioner.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
• Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for both children and team members.
