Job summary

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Nurse (Band 6) to join the Craven Learning Disabilities Team. The role focuses on specialist health assessments and evidence-based interventions for children and young people with SEND and complex health needs.

You will lead a mobile team, provide supervision and development, and work across home, school and community settings to improve outcomes and ensure safe, person-centred care.

Qualifications

• Current professional registration with the NMC.
• Mentorship qualification such as SLiPS, ENB 998.
• Registered Learning Disability Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
• Qualified to Degree level or working towards equivalent leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Children's Learning Disability service in the Craven area.
• Provide clinical nursing expertise to children referred to the team and supervise a defined caseload.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions across settings including home, school, and community.
• Provide supervision and line management to staff within the team to support high-quality practice.
