Job summary

Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Nurse (Band 6) to join the Craven Learning Disabilities Team. The role involves clinical leadership, specialist assessments, and delivering person-centred care across home, school and community settings.

The post requires an NMC-registered nurse with experience supporting children and young people with SEND and complex health needs. A degree or equivalent leadership experience is essential, with flexible working across Craven.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration (child/learning disability focus preferred).
• Proven ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with professionals.
• Experience with engaging with children and families in community or school settings.
• Degree-level qualification or equivalent leadership experience pursued or achieved.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Craven Children’s Learning Disability service.
• Provide specialist health assessments and behavioural assessments for children and young people.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions across home, school, and community settings.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, partner agencies and stakeholders to ensure safe, responsive care.
• Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and line management within the team.
• Manage a defined caseload and provide supervision as needed.
