Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Senior Nuclear Safety Consultant to lead high‑profile safety case assessments for complex nuclear projects across decommissioning, energy, and defence sectors. The role involves producing technical reports, leading hazard analyses, and ensuring regulatory compliance while guiding multidisciplinary teams.

You will engage with clients and regulators, manage project scope and finances, and contribute to business development.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline; chartered status desirable.
• Experience in nuclear safety case development or assessment.
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and safety management principles is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety case development and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Produce and review technical documentation, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
• Engage with clients and regulators; manage project deliverables, budgets, and timescales.
• Mentor junior staff and support knowledge transfer across teams.
