Job summary

As a Principal Nuclear Safety Consultant at Tetra Tech Europe, you will lead the development, assessment and review of safety cases for a diverse range of nuclear projects, ensuring regulatory alignment and high quality deliverables across decommissioning, energy generation and defence-related activity.

You will mentor engineers, manage complex programmes, engage with regulators and clients, and contribute to business growth through proposals and trusted relationships.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or scientific discipline.
• Substantial experience in nuclear safety case development or assessment.
• Chartered status with a recognised professional body is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and safety management principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, assessment and review of safety cases for diverse nuclear projects.
• Oversee project governance, planning, resourcing and financial oversight.
