Job summary

The Senior Nuclear Safety Consultant role at Tetra Tech UK offers the chance to lead safety case delivery across high-profile nuclear projects in energy, defence and decommissioning. You will produce and review technical documentation, manage hazards and risks, and drive regulatory engagement with clients and regulators.

You’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams, develop junior colleagues, and shape project deliverables within tight timescales and budgets.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in engineering or science and substantial experience in nuclear safety case development or assessment.
• Knowledge of nuclear plant operations, regulatory frameworks and safety management is beneficial.
• Chartered status with a recognised professional body is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety case development and regulatory compliance across nuclear facilities and operations.
• Produce and review technical documentation, hazard identifications and risk assessments.
• Engage with clients and regulators, manage project deliverables within timescales and budgets.
