Job summary

Tetra Tech Europe is seeking a Senior Nuclear Safety Consultant to lead safety case development for complex nuclear facilities, aligning with regulatory standards and client expectations.

You will mentor junior colleagues, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and deliver high-quality technical documentation, risk assessments, and hazard analyses across decommissioning, energy and defence projects in the UK.

Qualifications

• You’ll need a degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline and substantial experience in nuclear safety case development or assessment.
• Knowledge of nuclear plant operations, regulatory frameworks and safety management principles is beneficial.
• Chartered status with a recognised professional body is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety case development to ensure compliance with stringent safety and regulatory standards across facilities.
• Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments, integrating safety principles into design and operations.
• Produce technical documentation, safety case reports, radiological assessments and supporting materials for regulators and clients.
