Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant to join the Environmental Permitting & Nuclear Regulation team. You will advise reactor vendors, licensees and developers on navigating UK regulatory requirements and contribute to major nuclear projects with a focus on safety and sustainability.

This hybrid role offers UK-wide office flexibility, potential travel, and a clear path for career development within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with ability to deliver collaborative tasks to exacting standards
• Client-focused with ability to provide well-evidenced advice on tight timelines
• Clear communicator able to convey complex regulatory information to diverse audiences
• Understanding of safety, sustainability, nuclear regulation and related legislation

Responsibilities

• Advise reactor vendors, developers and licensees on navigating UK nuclear regulatory requirements
• Deliver permitting, licensing and consenting for nuclear projects and contribute to investable projects
• Develop Environmental Cases and demonstrate BAT/ALARP applications for nuclear operators
• Support compliance with permits, licences and high safety standards across projects
