Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant in environmental permitting and nuclear regulation to help deliver nationally significant nuclear projects across the UK. You will join a growing team focused on safe, secure, and sustainable energy futures, advising on regulation, licensing and compliance for major developments and decommissioning programs.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with a track record of delivering tasks to high standards within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Client-focused with ability to build trust and provide timely, well-evidenced advice.
• Clear communicator able to explain complex information to diverse audiences.
• Understanding of safety and sustainability issues in the nuclear sector and related legislation.
• Experience in nuclear regulation, environmental permitting, safety, sustainability and environmental management.

Responsibilities

• Advise reactor vendors, developers and licensees on navigating UK nuclear regulatory requirements.
• Deliver timely permitting, licensing and consenting for nuclear projects and contribute to investable projects.
• Develop Environmental Case work for nuclear facilities and demonstrate Best Available Techniques (BAT) application.
• Support secure compliance with permit and licence requirements and high safety standards.
