Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking Senior/Principal Consultants to join the Environmental Permitting, Compliance & Nuclear Regulation team. You will deliver permitting projects for energy, waste, industrial, manufacturing and utilities sectors, preparing permit applications and assessments while navigating regulatory requirements.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams, develop client relationships, and contribute to the UK’s transition to a secure, low-carbon future with flexible location

Qualifications

• Understanding Environmental Permitting Regulations and related legislation.
• Experience preparing Environmental Permit applications and supporting assessments.
• Knowledge of energy, waste, industrial, manufacturing or utilities sectors.
• Experience undertaking qualitative and/or quantitative environmental risk assessments.
• Ability to manage workload and deliver outputs to timescales.
• Strong written and verbal communication; collaborative in teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Environmental Permit applications and supporting technical assessments.
• Conduct Environmental Risk Assessments and BAT assessments.
• Work within multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects.
• Develop strong client relationships through high-quality delivery.
