Job summary

WSP is seeking Senior Consultant/Principal Consultant to join the Environmental Permitting, Compliance & Nuclear Regulation team. You will deliver Environmental Permit applications, conduct assessments and manage client relationships across energy, waste, industrial, manufacturing and utilities sectors.

You will work in multidisciplinary teams, apply regulatory knowledge, and contribute to the UK's transition to a secure, low‑carbon future.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Environmental Permitting Regulations and associated environmental legislation.
• Experience preparing Environmental Permit applications and supporting technical assessments.
• Knowledge of regulated sectors such as energy, waste, industrial, manufacturing or utilities.
• Experience undertaking qualitative and/or quantitative environmental risk assessments.
• Ability to manage own workload and deliver outputs to deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain technical information clearly.
