Job summary

WSP in the UK & Ireland seeks a Major Programme Technical Delivery Lead to mobilise and deliver large-scale nuclear programmes. You will unite engineering, design, commercial and assurance teams to translate strategy into safe, commercially successful outcomes.

You will oversee governance, client engagement and delivery excellence, building a scalable capability while aligning with WSP’s global engineering network. Hybrid work is offered across UK offices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technical delivery across high‑value programmes.
• Experience with major programme lifecycles from strategy to handover.
• Credibility with senior clients and stakeholders.
• Ability to mobilise major programmes and transition from pursuit to delivery.
• Strong commercial and delivery acumen with governance and risk skills.
• Understanding of nuclear safety, security and regulatory requirements.
• Experience across complex stakeholder environments.
• Ability to build and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in alliances, delivery partnerships or ECI.
• Knowledge of UK civil/defence nuclear market.

Responsibilities

• Lead mobilisation, integration and technical delivery of major nuclear programmes.
• Build and lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, design, commercial, project controls, procurement, construction, environmental and assurance disciplines.
• Establish effective governance, technical assurance and decision‑making frameworks for safety‑critical environments.
• Manage complex technical and organizational interfaces across clients, partners, disciplines and supply chains.
• Develop future technical delivery leaders through coaching and capability building.
