Job summary
KLA is seeking a Senior New Product Launch Manufacturing Design Engineer in Newport, UK to drive design and process improvements for manufacturing growth and new products. You will lead multi-functional projects with Operations and Engineering, shaping product lifecycle, implementing changes right first time and delivering robust manufacturing solutions.
Join a facility featuring extensive R&D clean rooms and advanced manufacturing spaces, contributing to MEMS, RF and photonics technology
Qualifications
- Degree qualified in Engineering field; semiconductor industry experience desirable.
- Experience in project management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Solid Edge / SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
Responsibilities
- Prepare feedback on Design for Manufacture to Product Design and NPI teams.
- Maintain product specs and BOMs using Solid Edge/SolidWorks/AutoCAD Electrical.
- Manage specifications with Enovia PLM; training will be provided.
- Lead multiple projects; collaborate with Operations and Engineering teams.
- Investigate and resolve technical challenges in manufacturing processes.
- Provide technical guidance to Supply Chain and Outsourcing teams.
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Generate, review, and approve Engineering Change Orders.
- Understand budgets and support CAPEX requests.
- Implement changes right first time following the PLC process.
