Job summary

Raytheon in Fife is seeking a Senior New Product Introduction Manager to bridge R&D and full-scale manufacturing. You will lead a cross-functional team, drive design for manufacturability, manage risks, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure successful product launches.

The role requires a degree in engineering, leadership experience in a regulated setting, and the ability to obtain UK Baseline security clearance. A defined career path and exposure to cutting-edge defence technologies await.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic/Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; leadership experience 2–3 years.
• Experience in highly regulated environments such as aerospace/defence/space.
• Expertise in AS9100/AS9145 and J-STD-001.
• Ability to obtain UK Baseline security clearance.
• Proficiency with project management tools and PRINCE2/PMP is desirable.
• Experience with ERP/MRP and BOM management.
• Strong knowledge of PFMEA, RCCA, and ATE for electro-mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Direct cross-functional teams to design and industrialise new electronic products from concept to production handover.
• Lead stage-gate processes (AS9145, APQP/PPAP) and lifecycle management.
• Champion DfM, DfT, and DfC to ensure robust, cost-effective designs.
• Manage Manufacturing Readiness Levels and FMEA to mitigate risks early.
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure component availability.
• Chair NPI Gate reviews and Production Readiness Reviews.
• Establish project baselines for cost, schedule and quality; report to leadership.
• Develop manufacturing plans, work instructions, tooling and fixtures.
