Job summary

KLA in Newport, UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to drive the full mechanical design lifecycle for state-of-the-art semiconductor equipment. You will design front end modules and integrated components, work with suppliers, and validate designs across prototypes to production releases.

Role requires hands-on engineering, ownership of projects, and collaboration with global teams. Occasional domestic/international travel may be needed in this multifaceted position.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or related subject or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete mechanical design process from requirements to release.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements and best practices.
• Design mechanical components in CREO Parametric 3D for EFEMs and sub-systems.
• Perform CFD and FEA analyses to optimize airflow and mechanical design.
• Create 2D drawings and apply GD&T for manufactured parts.
• Coordinate with suppliers to develop components and assemblies.
• Contribute across the full design/build cycle from prototype to production.
