Job summary

KLA is seeking a Senior MDE role at its Newport facility in Celtic Lakes. You will contribute to New Product Launch and manufacturing design improvements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive growth and continuous improvement in semiconductor process technologies.

The role emphasizes leading multi-project initiatives, managing designs in CAD/Solid Edge, and integrating with PLM systems to support manufacturing scale and quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering required.
• Experience in design/manufacturing in semiconductor environment desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare feedback on Design for Manufacture to Product Design and New Product Launch teams.
• Maintain product specs and BOMs with Solid Edge/SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD Electrical.
• Manage specifications with Enovia PLM – training provided.
• Lead multiple projects and work cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering teams.
• Investigate and resolve technical challenges to support manufacturing processes.
• Provide technical guidance to Supply Chain and Outsourcing teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Generate, review, and approve Engineering Change Orders.
• Understand budgets and support CAPEX requests.
• Implement change right first time following the PLC process.
