Job summary

KLA in Newport, UK is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the PVD Engineering team. You will design, qualify, and improve electrical systems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, spanning concept to manufacture, with exposure to power distribution, safety systems, motion control, and instrumentation.

The role requires collaboration across mechanical, software and process engineering teams, strong problem-solving, and a proactive approach to delivering reliable, compliant products

Qualifications

• Experience designing electrical systems for industrial or high-technology equipment.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards and compliance practices.
• Ability to work across mechanical, software and process teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate electrical systems and control architectures for semiconductor equipment.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs and documentation.
• Support integration with other engineering disciplines and manufacturing.
• Investigate electrical issues and drive corrective actions.
• Assist field service and customer escalation when needed.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
