Job summary

Gerrell & Hard Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer – NPI to lead manufacturing engineering delivery across new product introduction and industrialisation programmes. This is a hands-on senior role spanning from design engagement to production ramp-up, ensuring products are manufacturable, production-ready and introduced safely.

You will drive DFMA reviews, process development, tooling and documentation, coordinating with Design, Production, Quality and Supply

Qualifications

Significant Manufacturing Engineering experience within a production environment.
Hands-on NPI and industrialisation from development through to stable production.
Experience developing and validating manufacturing processes, tooling, documentation and production controls.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, Bills of Materials and product requirements.

Responsibilities

Lead Manufacturing Engineering activity across the complete NPI lifecycle.
Develop manufacturing plans, milestones, deliverables and acceptance criteria.
Lead DFMA reviews and translate design intent into practical manufacturing solutions.
Plan and coordinate prototype and pilot builds, build-readiness reviews and production trials.
Define manufacturing process flows, routings, tooling, fixtures and training requirements.
Own manufacturing documentation including SOPs, work instructions and process specifications.
Lead complex root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
Drive improvements in yield, cycle time, throughput and cost.
