Job summary

Government Recruitment Service is hiring a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer (NOC/SOC) in Swansea. The role focuses on supporting, managing and maintaining critical network and security infrastructure in a 24/7 production environment to ensure security, resilience and availability.

You will act as second line support for incidents and changes, working with 3rd line, configuring and troubleshooting devices across physical, virtual and cloud-connected environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in network and security operations in a 24/7 environment.
• Ability to diagnose complex incidents and restore services.
• Experience with monitoring, automation and scripting to improve operations.

Responsibilities

• Configure, troubleshoot and maintain network and security devices (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, Wi‑Fi).
• Diagnose incidents, investigate root causes and restore live services.
• Use enterprise monitoring and SIEM tooling to identify issues and reduce risk.
