Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Senior Network Planner - Resilience to lead the development and delivery of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans. The role requires leadership, subject matter expertise and the ability to steer processes in line with best practice and risk management.

Qualifications

• Experience in contingency and business continuity planning and understanding of business objectives for resilience.
• Knowledge and understanding the Civil Contingency Act 2004 (desirable)
• Experience of creating, developing response plans including managing debriefs (desirable)
• Ability to implement company crisis management procedures and policies.
• Good communications and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of resilience, emergency and severe weather response plans.
• Provide leadership and guidance on processes, best practices and improvements.
• Liaise with regional Operations and external stakeholders to minimise impact of events.
• Manage Network Resilience funding and identify schemes aligned to risk.
• Drive contingency and business continuity planning to meet resilience objectives.
• Drive debriefs and post-incident reviews to capture learnings.
