Our Global IT Infrastructure department offers an exciting opportunity for an Senior Modern Workplace Engineer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a remote role, with the expectation to travel to our London office biweekly, with all travel expenses reimbursed.

About the role

The Senior Modern Workplace Engineer, a key member of the Global IT Infrastructure department, manages and optimizes cloud-based technologies supporting approximately 100,000 users across Cognita’s regions. The role requires expertise in cloud migration strategies, particularly leading on-premises to Azure migrations using tools like Azure Migrate and DRMigrate. The successful candidate will design and implement scalable, secure cloud solutions aligned with organizational needs and security standards.

Reporting to the Modern Workplace Manager, you will champion cloud services, ensuring seamless delivery to business users. Responsibilities include planning, analyzing, designing, testing, and deploying enterprise-scale Cloud, IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS solutions.

This is a global role supporting all Cognita schools worldwide.

Who we are looking for

Candidates should possess a relevant degree or Microsoft certification, with proven experience in Microsoft Azure and Modern Workplace, especially in executing on-premises to Azure migration projects. Requirements include:

• Strong expertise in Microsoft cloud services, including Azure and Microsoft 365
• Experience leading on-premises workload migrations to Azure using tools like Azure Migrate
