Our Global IT Infrastructure department offers an exciting opportunity for an Senior Modern Workplace Engineer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a remote role; however, the successful candidate will need to travel to our London office biweekly, with all travel expenses covered.

About the role

As a key member of the Global IT Infrastructure team, the Senior Modern Workplace Engineer will manage and optimize cloud-based technologies supporting approximately 100,000 users worldwide. The role requires expertise in cloud migration strategies, particularly leading migrations of on-premises workloads to Microsoft Azure using tools like Azure Migrate and DRMigrate. The candidate should be skilled in designing and implementing scalable, secure cloud solutions aligned with organizational needs and security standards.

Reporting to the Modern Workplace Manager, you will champion cloud services delivery to our business units, planning, analyzing, designing, testing, and deploying enterprise-scale Cloud, IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS solutions.

This is a global role supporting Cognita's schools and entities worldwide.

Who we are looking for

Applicants should have a relevant degree or Microsoft certification and proven experience with Microsoft Azure and Modern Workplace, especially in executing on-premises to Azure migrations. Key qualifications include:

• Strong expertise in Microsoft cloud services, including Azure and Microsoft 365
• Experience leading Azure migrations with tools such as Azure Migrate
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
