Premises Recruitment is engaged with a growing MEP design business in London to appoint a senior MEP Technical Lead who will own technical delivery for commercial and data centre projects. The role offers leadership of a developing team and direct input to tenders and opportunities.

Based in London with hybrid/remote options, the successful candidate will work closely with directors, shape the technical function, and help grow a high-quality design team as workload expands.

Qualifications

• Around 10+ years' relevant industry experience.
• Experience gained within an established MEP or building services consultancy.
• Proven track record of leading projects and taking responsibility for technical design decisions.
• Strong knowledge of Stage 3 and detailed technical MEP design.
• A practical, hands on approach to engineering and project delivery.
• The confidence to work closely with directors and clients within a small, growing business.

Responsibilities

• Taking technical ownership of MEP projects from Stage 3 through detailed technical design.
• Leading the technical delivery of commercial and data centre schemes.
• Supporting the directors with the technical input required for tenders and new opportunities.
• Working closely with MEP subcontractor clients throughout London and the wider UK.
• Reviewing designs and ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently and to the required technical standard.
• Identifying and managing design and technical risk.
• Helping establish the company's technical processes, standards and ways of working.
• Supporting the recruitment and development of the future Mechanical and Electrical design teams.
