Job summary

People Group Limited is seeking an experienced MEP Design Manager to lead design coordination for a major Data Centre project in West London. You will liaise with consultants, subcontractors and the project team to ensure the mechanical and electrical building services are integrated and compliant with programme requirements.

The role is freelance on a major development with responsibilities spanning from pre-construction through to installation and commissioning, with a focus on resolving

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an MEP Design Manager role within the construction industry.
• Experience on Data Centre projects or other complex MEP schemes.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
• Experience with design coordination, technical reviews and resolving design issues.
• Ability to liaise effectively with consultants, subcontractors and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical and electrical design packages across the project.
• Review design drawings, specifications and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors and the wider construction team to resolve design issues.
• Manage design coordination, ensuring interfaces between MEP systems are integrated.
• Review technical information and identify potential design clashes or buildability issues.
• Support the design development process from pre-construction through to installation and commissioning.
• Monitor design progress against project programmes and key milestones.
