Qualifications

Job description

Belmont Recruitment are currently working with a West Lancashire based CAMHS team based in Skelmersdale who are looking for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner /RMN/OT/Social Worker to join them on a contract basis.

This is a 3-6 month contract with potential extension opportunities.

Duties | Responsibilities:
  • To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Clinical reasoning to undertake assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care programs for children and families, liaising with and referring to relevant agencies as appropriate.
  • To take an active role in the holistic assessment and treatment of young people who present to the service, with mental health problems and especially those that are at risk of, or have attempted deliberate self-harm.
  • Report writing and the responsible exercise of professional self-governance in accordance with professional codes of practice/ conduct.
  • To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of children, young people and their families/carers.

This is a full-time position, hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm for 37.5hrs a week. Weekend work can be accommodated depending on position.

Pay rate: £24.00 - £40.00 per hour (depending on shift pattern)
