Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment is seeking an Sales Account Manager (Mechanical Engineering) to own and grow a portfolio that includes major automotive and industrial clients. The role combines field and home-based work with the freedom to manage your diary and travel across Southern England and beyond.

You will sell condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment, build relationships with engineering leaders, and develop your technical expertise through ISO-accredited training.

Qualifications

• Technical sales/Account management experience within mechanical engineering or related industrial sector.
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification and understanding of electromechanical machinery.
• Experience selling industrial equipment or engineering products/services (pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment).
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the territory, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of blue-chip and industrial customer accounts (incl. McLaren F1 and BMW).
• Build relationships with engineering managers, maintenance teams and technical decision-makers.
• Recommend appropriate technical solutions based on customers' mechanical equipment and reliability needs.
• Sell specialist condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment to industrial customers.
• Manage your own territory, diary and appointments, averaging ~4 site visits per week.
• Work remotely between customer visits with flexibility to structure your working week.
• Develop technical knowledge through accredited specialist training in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
