Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer (Mechanical) to own a portfolio in Southern England with home‑based and field‑based work, and a company car.

You will manage blue‑chip accounts such as McLaren F1 and BMW, build relationships with engineering managers, and sell vibration‑analysis equipment. The role offers autonomy to structure your diary, travel, and develop through accredited training and ongoing career progression.

Qualifications

• Technical sales / Account management / BDM experience within Mechanical engineering or a related industrial sector.
• Strong account management, relationship-building and customer service skills.
• The ability to work autonomously and manage an established customer portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of blue-chip and industrial customer accounts, including McLaren F1 and BMW.
• Build relationships with engineering managers, maintenance teams and technical decision-makers.
• Understand customers' mechanical equipment and reliability requirements, recommending appropriate technical solutions.
• Sell specialist condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment to industrial customers.
• Manage your own territory, diary and customer appointments, averaging approximately four customer-site visits per week.
• Work remotely between customer visits, with genuine flexibility to structure your working week.
• Develop your technical knowledge through accredited specialist training in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
