Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment is seeking a Sales Account Manager with a Mechanical Engineering background to own a portfolio of blue-chip customers, including McLaren F1 and BMW. You will cultivate relationships with engineering and maintenance teams and propose technical solutions from vibration-analysis and condition-monitoring equipment.

The role combines home-based and field-based work across Southern England with a company car, private healthcare and a clear progression path.

Qualifications

• Technical sales / account management experience within Mechanical engineering or related industrial sector.
• A recognised Mechanical engineering qualification and a good understanding of electromechanical machinery.
• Experience selling industrial equipment, engineering products or technical services (pumps, motors, gearboxes, rotating equipment).
• Strong account management, relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of blue-chip and industrial customer accounts, including McLaren F1 and BMW.
• Build relationships with engineering managers, maintenance teams and technical decision-makers.
• Understand customers' mechanical equipment and reliability requirements, recommending appropriate technical solutions.
• Sell specialist condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment to industrial customers.
• Manage your own territory, diary and customer appointments, averaging approximately four customer-site visits per week.
• Work remotely between customer visits, with genuine flexibility to structure your working week.
• Develop your technical knowledge through accredited specialist training in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
