Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Sales Account Manager (Mechanical Engineering) to own and grow a portfolio of blue-chip industrial customers. You will manage relationships with engineering managers and technical decision-makers, selling condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment.

Based in home or field-based across Southern England, you will structure your diary, travel regionally, and develop technical knowledge through accredited training while benefiting from an autonomous

Qualifications

• Technical sales / Account management / BDM experience within Mechanical engineering or a related industrial sector.
• A recognised Mechanical engineering qualification and a good understanding of electromechanical machinery.
• Experience selling industrial equipment, engineering products or technical services (e.g. pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment).
• Strong account management, relationship-building and customer service skills.
• The ability to work autonomously and manage an established customer portfolio.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of blue-chip and industrial customer accounts, including McLaren F1 and BMW.
• Build relationships with engineering managers, maintenance teams and technical decision-makers.
• Understand customers' mechanical equipment and reliability requirements, recommending appropriate technical solutions.
• Sell specialist condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment to industrial customers.
• Manage your own territory, diary and customer appointments, averaging approximately four customer-site visits per week.
• Work remotely between customer visits, with genuine flexibility to structure your working week.
