Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd advertises a Sales Account Manager (Mechanical Engineering) role covering Southern England with a home-based/field-based setup and a company car. You will own a portfolio including McLaren F1 and BMW, selling vibration-analysis and condition-monitoring equipment to engineering and manufacturing clients.

Qualifications

• Technical sales / Account management experience within mechanical engineering or related industrial sector.
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification and understanding of electromechanical machinery.
• Experience selling industrial equipment or technical services (pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment).
• Strong account management, relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage an established customer portfolio.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel the territory, including overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of blue-chip and industrial customer accounts including McLaren F1 and BMW.
• Build relationships with engineering managers, maintenance teams and technical decision-makers.
• Understand customers' mechanical equipment and reliability requirements, recommending technical solutions.
• Sell specialist condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment to industrial customers.
• Manage your own territory, diary and customer appointments, averaging four site visits per week.
• Work remotely between visits, with flexibility to structure your working week.
• Develop technical knowledge through accredited training in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
