Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Area Sales Manager (Mechanical Reliability) to own and grow an established portfolio across Southern England. You will balance home-based work with field visits, managing key accounts such as McLaren F1 and BMW while driving high-quality customer relationships.

You will sell vibration-analysis and condition-monitoring equipment, expanding technical knowledge through accredited training and using your mechanical engineering background to tailor solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical sales within mechanical engineering or related industrial sector.
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification and understanding of electromechanical machinery.
• Experience selling industrial equipment or technical services (pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment).

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an existing portfolio of blue-chip and industrial customer accounts (e.g., McLaren F1 and BMW).
• Build relationships with engineering managers, maintenance teams and technical decision-makers.
• Understand customers' mechanical equipment and reliability needs; recommend technical solutions.
• Sell specialist condition-monitoring and vibration-analysis equipment to industrial customers.
• Manage territory, diary and customer appointments; approx. four site visits per week.
• Work remotely between customer visits with flexible weekly structure.
• Develop technical knowledge through accredited training in vibration analysis and condition monitoring.
