Job summary

COWI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a Water Utilities background to design water supply and wastewater infrastructure, including pumping stations and treatment works. The role involves UK-based design with global collaboration, and potential site or client-side exposure.

You will lead design activities, mentor colleagues, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to multi-disciplinary project delivery in a hybrid UK setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience in mechanical systems design for water infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design of projects for water utilities clients.
• Plan design work and deliverables with the MEP team.
• Develop and technically assure designs using appropriate software.
• Ensure compliance with UK and international standards.
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary aspects of projects.
• Mentor junior team members in design.
• Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
