Job summary
Stantec is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy & Resources team in the UK, based across Redditch or Newcastle upon Tyne. You will contribute to a broad portfolio including EfW, District Heating, Hydrogen schemes, and Biogas projects, guiding the mechanical design from feasibility through to installation.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare drawings and P&IDs, review vendor designs, and ensure robust, safe, and constructible solutions that align with
Qualifications
- Experience delivering mechanical design across complex projects.
- Strong technical capability in mechanical systems and process-related technologies.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership.
Responsibilities
- Conducting site surveys and technical investigations.
- Developing mechanical designs, specifications and project-wide engineering solutions.
- Supporting the production of drawings, 3D models, P&IDs, schedules and reports.
- Preparing specifications and scoping documents for construction packages.
- Reviewing vendor designs and monitoring progress throughout delivery.
