Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Energy & Resources team in the UK. You will work across Waterpower & Dams, Hydropower, energy from waste, and transmission projects, delivering concept to detailed designs and supporting site work.

You will collaborate with project managers and clients, contribute to advisory aspects, and help drive high-quality, coordinated solutions across civil, structural, geotechnical and M&E disciplines.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil design across Waterpower and dams, Hydropower and pumped storage, energy from waste, and transmission and distribution projects.
• Experience producing technical specifications, designs, and reports with coordination across civil, structural, geotechnical, and M&E disciplines.
• Ideally experience delivering designs for end clients and for design & build contractors.
• Confidence working in a 3D design environment and Common Data Environments (CDEs).
• Collaborative, client-focused approach delivering high-quality outcomes and service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to projects across the full lifecycle from concept design to detailed design and site support.
• Deliver innovative engineering solutions across a broad and technically challenging energy portfolio.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical leaders and clients in advisory and delivery roles across multiple sectors.
• Ensure fully coordinated designs by integrating civil, structural, geotechnical and M&E inputs.
