Job summary

Stantec in the UK is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Energy & Resources team on a portfolio spanning Waterpower, Hydropower, Energy from Waste, Nuclear and Transmission & Distribution projects.

You will contribute across full project lifecycles—from concept through detailed design to site support—delivering innovative engineering solutions and advising clients while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across UK offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Progress towards Chartered Engineer status with the Engineering Council and ICE.
• Experience in civil design across waterpower and dams, hydropower and pumped storage.
• Experience in energy-from-waste and transmission and distribution projects.
• Strong collaborative and multidisciplinary teamwork capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Involves full lifecycle design from concept to detailed design and site support.
• Owner’s Engineer duties, contractor-facing design, and due diligence activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical leaders and clients to deliver solutions.
